Peer Support Groups in Zadar and Split

Peer support Groups is a project that Ludruga in Zagreb has been successfully implementing continuously since our founding in 2012. We welcome all who are willing to share with others their thoughts, feelings, issues that concern them, regardless of whether diagnosed or not, whether they take psychiatric drugs or not. The group is a safe, secure place where they can, if they they choose to, share their experiences, active listen, and thusly be a support to other members. For us, it is very important to create in the group an atmosphere of equality of participants, this is a main difference between a peer support group and a psychotherapeutic group. In the support groups there is no psychological counseling, instead there is a sharing of similar life experiences with others with similar path. Group processes are steered by a facilitator whose role is to create a safe and tolerant environment in which participants will have equal time and space for expression.
